Tropheus Calculator at "Steve's Tropheus"

#2
So according to "Steve", my 150-gallon, 48" x 24" footprint, 30" high, can contain about 27 *adult* Tropheus in a SINGLE-species colony. I guess this is about right... considering height in aquarium for Tropheus is not very significant once you get above the standard 18" or so to give them some room to move up and down.

150-gallon, 48" x 24" footprint, 30" high
Please note this info is only my opinion...

Your tank volume is approximately 566 Litres, 126 Imp. Gals, 149 U.S. Gals.

Theoretically, you can accommodate 27 Tropheus of 3.5 inch (8.9 cm) in this tank.

As Adults:
This tank can accommodate a total of 32 adult Tropheus, if there are 1 species. The tank is an okay choice (longer would be better), adults should do alright in this tank.
90-gallon, 48" x 24" footprint, 18" high

Your tank volume is approximately 340 Litres, 76 Imp. Gals, 89 U.S. Gals.

What do you guys think of this "27" adult figure quoted for 150-gallon and 90-gallon with same footprint?
