I recently purchased 2 Tropheus Cichlids. I do not know what species these fish are. But I know there are several differnt species. My problem is that after researching the differnt species I think what I was sold was a pair of striped Gobies. Anyone know of a Tropheus that looks like a striped Goby. Any help would be great.

All Tropheus have VERY similar bodyshapes. The only difference is that Moorii has a slightly more sharp slope in the forehead than Duboisi or Brichardi....there are no other spicies, just those 3.

Either way, your best bet is to get rid of them, or get many more. Both Eretmodus and Tropheus do better in groups. If you just have two, its more than likely that the dominant one will kill the subdominant one.
