Sweet fish!! I'm assuming that's a T.moorii, but I've never seen that strain before. Are they wild caught?

Thanks! yes they are wild caught Tropheus moorii Mpulungu. Im using a Sony 717 5.24MP digi cam.

I was thinking the same thing. Verse always has great looking pics and fish....and now he (?) says he is upgrading his camera? Thanks for rubbing it in, Verse!!

How did you get the pics without disturbing the mating? Whenever I get close to the glass my fish get startled.

thanks flex. I just love photography, so this camera would just add to the enjoyment

Most of my fish are used to me and the camera, so they dont get too frightened when I walk up to the glass with the camera.

Trophs are mouthbrooders, right? The female has eggs in her mouth. So, the female takes sperm into her mouth to fertilize the eggs.

Yes they are mouthbrooders. The female will drop a egg(s) and then pick it up. Then she will go next to the male and he will fertilize them either while theyre on the floor, or in her mouth.
