Tubifex worms

I just discovered some Tubifex worms in my tank, and moved them to a 2 gallon tank. Does anyone have the same thing going on in their tank?

I've never fed any live tubifex worms so have never seen them in a tank. Do you have a picture?

they could also be some other FW oligochaete. the most common ones are the very thin white/transparent detritis worms we sometimes find in cycling tanks.

I got some kinda worms in a couple of my tanks. they are super small and almost clear. but they make little tubes across the glass up about an inch from the gravel. and they also make these tubes that come straight up from the substrate randomly in the tank. I see them doing no harm to anything so i just let them go as part of my micro ecosystems.

pictures would help us identify them. have you fed tubifex worms to your fish in that tank before?

that clump with arms is a group of worms right? how many are in that picture? more than 10 thin ones?

those do remind me of tubifex worms.

They certainly appear to be Tubifex Worms, I lot of aquarists actually prefer to have tubifex worms in their substrate, makes for a good fishy snack! Not sure how you'd get rid of them if you don't want to keep them, I've never had this problem before...
