I bought my two severums awhile ago and i can't figure out the sex of them. I was hoping some one could post a pic of a male and female so i could tell the difference.

YOu can see a bunch of vertical stipes on one of them...but on the other you can really only see one really dark stipe which is on the anal fin. BUt that one is smaller so maybe it just hasn't gotten the rest in yet?

well one is definatley larger than the other. One is close to 3in. and ithe other is about 2in. the smaller ones bottoma dorsal fin is definatley pointed but the top isn't. SInce the bottom one is, does that make it a male.

Oh and i know that the bigger one is a male becasue of his fins.

hmm i really wish i could post a pic...haha but i can't. I'm leading towards the smaller one being a female. Her top fin is more rounded... and it has a bucnh of horizontal dots instead of vertical stripes.. Is this common in both sexes? or is it a sign of being a female....in any case, i bet it will be easier to tell when it gets a little bit bigger.
