Hello, Hello! I knew here as your probably guessed, But i have 3 rapidly growing turtles. One Florida Cooter (I believe) and 2 Florida Softshells. There are currently in 25 gallon, and i have a 140 gallon i plan on moving them into until we can contact a zoo, or a some other establishment that could take care of them when they get larger. I am a fish lover, and i was curious about what type of fish, ( i was thinking about something small, that good get away with ease, I would provide hiding areas). *SUPERSMIL

Thank Ya'll

Softshells are really keen on hunting for fish while the cooter may be only a bit more cumsy about it.
Fish tankmates would have to be quite a bit larger than the turtles themsleves and even then there's no guarantee than the fish won't eventually turn up with chunks taken out of it.
Either way, in a 25gl tank with 3 growing turtles you're maxed out. :)

I used to have a red eared slider named Wubu that we would feed baby goldfish to out of our neighbor's pond. One of them he didn't eat and it grew for a few months and we thought they were just going to live together in the tank like that so we named the fish pumpkin. Then suddenly one day pumkin vanished without a trace. I guess he was just biding his time until he had a proper sized meal. I don't think your going to find a fish that wouldn't be an appealing meal to a turtle.
