*SUPERSMIL What is the recomended gallons of water for a turtle. I had a bigger red slider in a 10 gallon for 10 years.then when he died found a baby injured red slider i think nursed him back to health he lived for about 1 1/2. Also had two sanpers in a portable 30 gallon pond livedfor 5 years till they were stolen.

i dont think turtles should be in anythink but exceptionally large tanks or outside ponds.

The general rule of thumb for red-eared sliders is 10 gallons of water per inch of turtle. They're supposed to live 20 to 50 years with proper care.

Yeah they need massive amounts of water. Get a pond if your interested. Its so sad to see them cooped up in a little 10 gallon.
