Two Bettas, One Split Tank - PLEASE HELP!

I just bought a new betta tank that supposedly houses two bettas, while letting them feel safe and discourage territory problems. I've had my fish, Chichiri for one year (the bigger one in the picture) and I just got the small one, Tasuki, tonight. As you can see from the picture, they're fighting and have been for the past ten minutes. Are they going to realize that they can't hurt each other, or are they going to stress themselves to death? PLEASE help and give me your suggestions!

NOTE: There is a plastic sloted divider in the middle, it's hard to tell in that picture.

Its normal behavior... it will pass in a few days. Its normal for them to flare at each other, even for long periods of time. I have several males side by side and none have died from stress of flaring yet.

Thank you all so much. I had removed Tasuki last night after the first post, and now he's back in. I suppose we'll see what happens. Thank you again.

I have the same set up for two of my bettas- like everyone said, it will pass. I have plants on either side of the divider, and that helps too. They flared a lot at first but now they just kind of look at each other and go "Gonna kill you."
"Eh, I know. Kill you too. Later though,
okay? "
they're totally bored with each other.

i would suggest that
