Hello everyone, I just joined this site. I have a problem, one of my fish had a rapid outbreak of some sort of parasites. One of my other fish I am not sure if it has bloat or is pregnant. Thank you :)

Also sorry about the video quality I uploaded it from the Iphone, my first time so I did not remember to convert it.

This is the Pregnant/Boated fish.

This is the poor guy with the parasites :( I separated him into an incubation tank.

Some of the other fish are showing signs of parasites, some keep bouncing off objects in the tank.

1. Yes, your molly is pregnant. Even without a pic, if you had a female adult molly with a male adult molly, yes, your female is pregnant.

2. I can't see well enough to see the parasites. Could you describe them maybe?

Ah thank you, not sure how to deal with a pregnant fish. I would not mind getting a few babies, I have 13 fish in a 39 gallon tank at the moment and would love a few more. The parasites look like small white cotton balls on the fish, also with some scale damage so I am not sure what it is. Some of the things on him dangle in the current :(

Okay, that sounds like a fungus to me. I'm completely not an expert for that. However, there's a link up in the sticky on this forum that should be able to help you out. Good work on putting him in quarantine.

If you want to get some babies out of your molly you should give them several hiding places on both the top and the bottom. Otherwise your other fish will eat them.

For a general guess of what fish you can put in your 39 gallon tank try using AqAdvisor.com. It's not a perfect product, but it will help give you a general idea of what you can fit in your tank safely. Once you have your list you can do your own research and come back here (or most other fish forums) and make sure what you're getting won't mess your tank up too badly.

Good luck with the fuzz and the babies.
