Uaru Fernandezyepezi...Need Some Help!

Hello,

I keep several Uaru Amphiacanthoides and I would love to add a couple of Uaru Fernandezyepezi to the tank.

So far I've been unable to find any specimens. I am not sure if these are being imported or even bred in captivity. I havn't done a ton of homework because of time constraints. I was wondering if anyone might have some suggestions. My lfs isn't sure about them.

Any thoughts?

For anyone who hasn't looked into keeping Uaru, they are quite stunning when they grow larger. Check out some pictures of them.

They are the two fish that are together in the middle of the tank. The owner in this case refers to them as "panda" Uaru.

hi cole! I will ask around to see if anyone i know has any that are spawning

I would venture to say that they breed like rabbits as do all egg layers and thus if someone has a pair they have fry Im sure if i find someone who has them they could ship a bag of smallish fry for you to grow out. I will check around
