I think I may have a pregnant tiget barb. What do I do now? As some of you are aware I am pretty new to this so I have no idea what to expect now.
Thanks,
Staci

When she lays the eggs they'll probably get eaten, and even if they don't, any fry that hatched would likely get eaten, so you really don't have to do anything, nature will take its course.

If you have lots and lots of plants, some fry could survive, in which case you'd want to feed finely crushed flake food until they got bigger. (Only livebearers get pregnant.)

It is unlikely tiger barbs will breed unless you are actually trying to spawn them. I wouldn't worry about it. If the fish are looking bloated, try feeding every other day.

If the scales are sticking out like a porcupine and the fish is acting very differant that could be a problem, but they are bloated sometimes after eating or if you feed often enough..they get fat.

My mother in laws Tigers were like huge ..the stripes were all crooked they were so fat. She overfed. I cringed when I saw her feed..it was literly snowing flake food...
