Would this harm the betta? I'm not thinking of getting it, but I saw it, and I thought that it might harm the betta?

Seems really tiny to me. I have no idea if the betta would react to the different colors of light, but the size puts me off.

That's what I meant with harming the betta, with the lights. But they have smaller things at walmart that you can put two in.

Yeah. I have seen a "lava lamp" version of a Betta Tank and Petco. I think that its just wrong! Its going back to people just using Bettas as decorations. They are animals too!!

Personally, I don't like it. I agree with guppy - fish are living things and shouldn't be used as casual decoration. While I don't think the lights would necessarily 'hurt' the beta (although it might annoy and stress them), I believe they deserve a filter and heater, just as you would do for other fish. They really get the short end of the stick just because they have the ability to breathe air. You could probably get a 2.5gal for cheaper then that novelty item.
