ultimate fish tank

if you had a 150 gallon tank and wanted it to be a Malawi Mbuna setup.. money was no object, how would you build it,, listing all componets, including number of fish

Well what is a Malawi Mbuna setup? Sounds like some sort of cichilid setup. Im more into densly planted tanks. So if I did set up a 150g tank, it would be densly planted with a wide variety of fish.

10 Bloodfins
10 Cardinals
10 Glowlights
10 Black Phantoms
10 Lemon Tetras
10 Tiger barbs
10 Harlequins
10 Corys
5 Ottos

... and a lot of other kinds but that is mainly how i would stock the tank.

planted tanks are boring and are nothing compared to cichlid tanks, i would probably not do an mbuna tank, im more a peacock/hap fan myself
a tang community would also be very nice

Seriously, I would do a Discus biotype tank. I don't know what kind of discus I would use. Maybe Heckel...

the lfs around here seem to have more of a variety for mbuna, and i seem to like them more i guess for that reason,

i love cichlids, dont get me wrong and they would look amazing in a 150... BUT! personaly hehehe i'd go with a HUGE brackish setup. get some crustations, mudskippers, but make it a terrarium. maybe some puffers in a divided area of the tank.. or possibly some archers. Get an artificial rain system setup for a top off... it would be VERY attractive
