i am thinking about setting up a 10 gal swordtail breeding tank

it would be placed in my room with my eclipse 29 gallon tank, and i am a very "picky" sleeper the eclipse is almost too loud for me to sleep somtimes

so i am thinking maybe a undergravel set up using a powerhead would be the way to go?

any suggestions as to what would be better or the quitest powerhead you can think of that will work for the 10 gallon... i am thinking of just using one if that helps any

Hmm I am terrible with any kind of noise and have spent hundreds making my computer whisper quiet. That said, for 10 gallon tanks I've found that you can do no quieter than a whisper 10 HOB filter. I have a penguin mini, aqua clear mini, no name brand filter and an air pump/sponge filter... nothing beats the whisper! I have more filters than tanks, I've bought them all in the search of a quiet filter for my room.

Hi JeLeAk, I have a Fluval internal filter that's very quiet. I also have an Eclipse 12 gallon system, and the Fluval is much quieter. The 1 Plus (about $20 at Petsmart) is good for up to 12 gallon tanks, and I'm pretty happy with it.
