Some melafix should help heal wounds and keep them from getting infected. Bettas are jumpers sometimes, so you need to make seperators tall enough or have them go up to the bottom of the hood.
salt helps keep some dieases at bay. It is a natural way to keep Ick away too. I put in 1/4 teaspoon aquarium salt per gallon and add a smaller amount when doing partial water changes.
