Unique Betta color

I recently bought my boyfriend a beautiful betta. It has a black body and then some bright blue at the base of the tail and the rest of the tail is orange. What type of betta is this? Plus would it be okay to put a betta and a cory or 2 in a 2.5 gallon tank???

dont focus on the colors, as all types of bettas come in a handful of different colors

Congrats, sounds lovely.

Cories need 3 or 4 buddies to be happy, so no... maybe a single african dwarf frog - but really, a betta needs no other company besides your boyfriend visiting now and then.

In a 2.5 gallon tank is just big enough for a single betta. Most bettas are loners anyway, so he'll not be depressed/sad if he doesn't have any other tank company.

Black, blue, and orange sounds like a gorgeous combination. Congrats on the find!
