well, before i start asking questions, ill tell you the story of what happened to my 10 gallon tank. i had 2 female guppies and the original oto in it. one of the females had some kind of disease or something. its really hard to explain what it was. it was coming out of her gill and looked kinda like a growth but a little like a fungus maybe. it made her gill stick out at a 90 degree angle compared to her body. i put her out of her misery as she looked as if she was in alot of pain- being very antisocial and barely eating. could this have been an internal parasite? anyways, the other female ended up dying, so i moved the oto into the 29 gallon instead of him being alone in the 10 gallon. soooo, i think he had whatever that female guppy had and brought it into the 29 gallon. today i noticed a similar-looking thing on one of my cory's pectoral fins. it wasnt quite the same but similar. so i netted him and removed it myself as i had no idea what to do and i didnt want it to spread. the oto is fine, but the cory is acting very strange. not schooling with the other 3 cories anymore like he used to before. i also noticed a tiny blood-red worm-looking thing that looked like it was coming out of his gill. im not sure if i was seeing things or what, but it looked like a tiny red worm. internal parasite? what can i do to ensure there are no internal parasites in my 29 gallon? ive heard of using garlic but have no idea how to use it exactly. also, if it was a fungus, what could i do?
