Unsolved Mysteries help needed?

As some of you know, I inherited this 55 gallon tank listed in my signature. Well my neighbor helped me to set it up. I cleaned everything real good with clean water. Filtered the rocks with clean water (probably 30 lbs of it). Then even used a razor blade on the glass itself. After cleaning was done, he helped me to load the rocks and water and treat it with the softener. He said that the last two moves he did, he simply let the filter flush the system for 48 hours and then put the fish back into the tank as normal. We waited and then put them in. All seemed well.
Yesterday I started to notice that the Red Oscar started to move less around the tank and allowed the Koi to push it and move it around. The red oscar simply floated this way and that way. I thought no biggie, they are used to each other. Today I spotted the bass with white spots. Don't know much about bass or the white spots. It looks as though it may be air bubbles under a slimy outer layer, but not all over right? The red oscar has no been floating into ornaments and the sides of the tank. His eyes are moving around and fins, but it seems he has no will power. I have supplied them with some feeder fish over the weekend and thought maybe this what happens from "bloat" or whatever. I also noticed a few missing scales behind the red oscars right gill (as you face him). As well as a hole in his head. Can someone please advise? I have been racking my brain with trying to find out what I should do. I plan to get rid of them, but I don't want them to die and I don't want to give or sell someone a problem. Also, the red oscar has two lines going down each side that look like scrapes, but they are identical and partially in one of the pictures.

I think what you have done is to kill off a large amount of the cycle bacteria when you cleaned, and your fish are suffering from ammonia and/or nitrite spikes. The stress from this can allow diseases like ich to get a foothold.

If you have tests, you should check ammonia, nitrites and nitrates.

In the mean time, water changes should help relieve the poisoning. :)
