Unusual background construction question

I probably should have asked this before getting so involved, but figured better now than after I've installed it and added fish.

I'm almost done working on a 3D background for my 50 gal. cichlid tank. *crazysmil I used some green craft foam (wasn't what I was looking for, but first stuff I could find) and after forming the shapes, I coated it with some old concrete patch that I had left over from another project. I just got done painting it up with acrylic paint, and was planning on giving it a few layers of spray-on acrylic sealer.

I've read that acrylics are safe for aquarium use, but I'm not sure if the sealer is the same material and also safe. I am also concerned that the concrete might have too much of an effect on my water's chemistry, even though cichlids prefer a high Ph.

Any comments on what I've done so far, where I'm going, and what I should do differently?
