Both of them are still alive and still eating- I am supposed to switch back to regular food today. They don't look any better or worse- Not sure if I should switch. They have dropsy but from the pictures I have seen it is not as bad as some cases- Hopefully it won't progress.

Today I noticed some white slime on the 2 rocks in the aquarium- - Not sure what it is and what I should do about it. I posted on the beginner forum but my other post there was never answered so I figured I'd ask here-

Thanks

If the medicated food isn't working, it might be a good idea to switch medications. Was it an antibacterial/antibiotic food? You could try something like Maracyn II, which is added to the water.

I would just rinse the rocks off, or give them a good scrub (don't use soap). You could boil them, too.

Thanks

Thanks for the reply Lotus-

I have been using Maracyn 2 & an antibavterial food- I will continue both until someone gives me another idea.

Doing more research I don't think they actually have dropsy- Their scales are not sticking out- they are just swollen.
