Oh boy, he really has grown fast---still a ways to go though!

Nice pics, Heather---thanks for sharing...finally, lol. ;)
Thanks for the full-tank shot too. It really helps put things into perspective as I try to envision how Triton will 'grow into' his tank. Anyway, Drae is looking better than ever. I still can't get over his coloration...I love it. *thumbsups

Sweet Pickles, A properly housed and care for Oscar fish will grow between 1 and 1.5 inches a month. Putting a high rate of growth fish into a small environment without proper filtration and care will quickly lead to a stunted fish.

Sorry BV, I cannot get over his coloration myself. He keeps getting pinker and pinker, and when he is angry he is this lovely color of orangy pink. I thought you would like the perspective of the full tank shot that shows how quickly he has grown.

This was taken shortly after I got him. Little different angle but it is the full tank shot.

Wow, big difference!
Oh...and I meant to say earlier how I like the way the wall is decorated in behind his tank with the candles and such. It is like a 'shrine' dedicated to Draegan---and rightfully so! hehe. ;)

What's the situation with the plants, by the way?
Had you removed them before (in anticipation of Drae devouring them and making a mess out of it), or did you just leave them be and he ended up eating them all? Has he started going through a phase where he spazzes out completely (as is the case with many other folks' oscars once they reach sexual maturity at about the 8" mark)?

BV,
The Anachris was taken out because the Fluval didnt like it. I just got tired of cleaning it out of the Fluval. The banana plant is his fav thing to drag around and it has fared rather well. It floats at the top of the tank for the most part. The Java Fern is still there although he keeps ripping it up what is left is tied to the rocks in little short sprigs. lol. I removed the lily pads long ago. They were getting too big for the top of my tank. I had some Lemon Bacopa (sp) in there and it is now in the 29g at the shop waiting on TOM to come get it... My fluval dislikes it as well. He is rather destructive... But I love him.

Thanks about the Candles. I have a bad habit of collecting crosses and the 'picture' is of drag boat crashes. If you could see the rest of my room it is covered in wrought iron crosses and drag boat photos.

Katie, that is just how quickly Oscars grow. But I find myself amazed at him every day.

Tom, We are on the same wavelength. Im thinki about callin that # and finding out who has the tank. But it still wouldnt be big enough to have both of my Os at home... Sigh... :)

Thanks Jessey... they are lovely...lol... I can never get a good shot of him,.. He moves too much.
