Hi,

I finally have my 20 gallon cycled aquarium with plants up and running. Currently, I have 10 neon tetras with a few ghost shrimps. Recently, I saw an upside catfish at the LFS and it really caught my interest. However, I've been unable to find out if it's compatibile with neons. I found one site (auspets.com) that lists it as being so, but nothing else. So, can they be in the same tank and if so, how many?

My lfs puts them together. usually around 5-10 with a giant school of neons ranging in the hundreds. they are a small catfish and will never reach the size needed to ead a full grown neon. I kind of had my eye on them as well but no more room in my 10 gallon and my cichlids would tear them apart. trust me I had 2 cories in there. didn't last long. and neither do feeder guppies. ok now I'm just rambling. but yes neons and those cats will do good together.

i would think they would be just fine with neons, though that's no expert opinion. i think they're such cool little guys.. it's been tough to resist buying some, even though i know my tank is going to be a cichlid tank very soon ;)
