use to be a salt water tank

my 55 gal tank use to be a salt water tank. now i want go back to freshwater, do i have to clean the tank in a special way? lmk asap thanks.

I had a 125g that was a SW tank up to the day I picked it up. I just washed it out real well with regular water. I bought new sponges to wipe the sides and bottom out. My fish were fine and doing very well. I even tried doing a planted tank and the plants did fairly well also. Some better than others but I could kill a rock garden.

Just clean it out with Water really good. If you want to for extra measure you can fill it and let it sit over night. Then drain and rinse again. After that you should be fine.
