Value of dead live rock

I was wondering how much about 125 lbs of live rock that has been dried out and stored would be worth? I found some and the guy wants me to make an offer. Also curious if it'd take long to become live again if seeded with about 80 lbs good live rock. Thanks for any input

With that amount of 'good' live rock it should take no time at all! I would offer 1.oo/lb for base rock no more than 1.50/lb IMO

Thats what I figured I didn't want to lowball the guy I can't believe he dried out all that rock he still has 200lbs live but hes selling it with the whole 220 gal setup for $1,800 very nice set, If I had the money and room I'd be all over it. BTW Thanks for the response

dead live rock is dead (no value)
if dried cut 50%
if kept in freshwater cut 25%
else 100% value

rock that's kept in freshwater is no different then dired rock.. They are both 'dead' and worth the same amount

i agree if completely dry and thus 100% dead, then $1/1lb
