I use zucchini a lot. I don't blanch it either.I rinse it off. I cut it in half, and cut off the ends. I then take one half and rubber band it to a rock.

The fish love it.

I only keep it in there for 2 or 3 days max. It will start to break up and before you know it, it cloggs your filter. So it is a great thing to try.

I gave my fish some peas the other day. I took a few frozen peas and put them in bowl and microwaved them for a few secs to thaw them out. I then took them one at a time and squeezed them over the tank so the inside halves squirted out and the skin stayed between my fingers which I threw away. My fish loved them. My plecos, khuli loaches, platies, and cherry barbs especially. What my fish didn't eat, the snails finished for them.

Marine fish should definately have Romain subliments! The tangs rip it right down to the rind they love it so much. Most plecos like the romain too. I haven't had success with darker greens like collards and such. Must taste too bitter  :p.
