vegetable eating snail

I have a big Peru snail and for the past week when I put cucumbers in the tank he will eat them now is this normal or just one hungry snail lol?

snails eat vegetables just like fish, to remove snails you can through a leaf of lettuce in overnight and throw it out in the morning with all the snails on it
