OK, anyone have any ideas why my skimmer is goin' nuts every so often?
It's a Vertex IN 180 (first gen with the pump problem corrected), I forget the water level it's in but it's right on the cusp of the high end of acceptable. Also there doesn't seem to be any correlation to another event when it happens (feeding, water changes, epoxy/glue). It'll run fine for a few weeks and all of a sudden just start going insane and overflow the cup. In a couple of days I can turn it back on with the wedge pipe wide open and SLOWLY close it over another few days. Thankfully it's not on a waste collector otherwise I'd have a serious problem with SW on my floor .
I'm right out of ideas so WIDE open to suggestions...
Chris
