When it comes to getting shipments of corals most are pretty hardy and survive...we get these transhipments which come basically from the ocean, not really a lot of stops on the way. Corals shipped this way are usually in the bags for days. I would have to say almost all survive the shipping...some of the wild caught acros dont nor some of the delicate elegance corals etc but the brains and everything else usually does fine. You also see some crazy things like shipping wate completly brown and stinky with a perfectly healthy SPS or all the water drained out of a bag and the corals doing fine.

Reread the article. For the majority of super shallow water corals collected emersion happens quite commonly.
Zo's normally turn up here dryshipped like liverock, so does other stuff and it alooks ok

I think Eric's right on the money here
