Visi-Jet Protein Skimmer
* The only power skimmer that comes with a built-in flow meter
* A counter-current Turbo-Venturi™ skimmer for inside your tank

Powered by the Visi-Jet powerhead, water passes through the pre-filter sponge (included) and into the reaction chamber. Within the "easy-clean" impeller chamber, the filtered water mixes with a massive amount of filtered air, creating a froth of micro-bubbles for maximum efficiency and gas exchange. Its special built-in flow meter also ensures accurate monitoring of true flow volume. The top-mounted collection cup removes easily for cleaning and is compact enough not to interfere with most hoods. Mounting hardware included. For tanks up to 70 gallons.

anyone use this or hear any good reviews about it? its only like 35bucks! any suggestions on if this would be good or not would be great! its for a 55gal.

(I posted this in you other post too ;))
Im not too sure on that specific skimmer but from my experience I wouldnt buy anything that cheap. This is what I have and IT FANTASTIC: http://www.drsfostersmith.com/Produc...&N=2004+113771 (Turboflotor Multi 1000) I was also told with skimmers to take the total number of gallons that you have sump and all and double it and then pick a skimmer going by that amount of gallonage. This way you are sure that your skimmer will handle your tank. Im not sure of details and specs and stuff but thats what we did and its working out great. Good Luck!!!

Thanks guppy! *celebrate that's where i found that other skimmer from was on the same sight! i know its not always better to go cheaper as most of the time you get what you pay for! but i was just seeing if anyone has heard or used them before.. ill probably end up getting the one you have.. ill just have to save up for it.. don't need it untill i get fish right? and since im just gettin my tank this weekend ill have about 4 weeks to save! im just gonna add like a fish a month or so just to make sure they are doing well and live!
