Don't worry about the tank temp as long as it does not go above 86F. They are less tolerant to cold as to heat. Turn the tank light off, open the hood and put a grate over it (so Waldo will not jump out) and place a small fan beside it. A fan will bring it down 3-4 degrees, and evaporate the water, so you might have to add some after a few days.

My males are close to doing the Shamoo too. Rigel and Finchy both come up to my hand, but my big hands barely fit inside my dividers
