I would really like to reaquascape my 16 gallon tank. I don't plan on removing anything just adding more and moving things around.

Would doing this have any bad side effects? Also does anyone have any suggestions on the best method to reaquascape without stressing out the fish a lot or them getting in the way?

If you're not changing the sand or anything I'd just suggest to do it with a water change. I "rearranged the furniture" today in my 29 gal. Half the time I had to take it slow because "my babies" wanted to see what I was doing. Once I even had to push one away.

If you do a real good cleaning your fish shouldn't have too many problems. Just don't move too quickly or you might squish one by accident. (If any of them have a problem with it I would suggest your GBR. I don't own one yet, but I hear they're sensitive.)
