WANTED: Plecos

I'm looking for some unusual plecs. Not your everyday run of the mill common types. I want something different.

If you know anywhere i can find them or you have some......let me know!

www.liveaquaria.com has a myriad of different plecos. pretty expensive though.

Yeah i'm looking for a breeder/hobbiest to get me deals and GOOD quality fish.

No specific types of plecs really......just unusual. Oh and on the smaller size.

Well there don't seem to be too many breeders knocking out rare plecos. They're quite tricky, you need old, mature breeders and the low brood numbers keep prices high compared to wild caught. I saw zebra plecs at auction a week ago and they were still 350 NOK compared to 700 NOK in the shops (6 NOK to $). I have had tank bred gold nuggets, but that wasn't done for profit.

i just bought a clown pleco for my tank the other day, i dunno if its very rare or not but they still have another one, they have a royal pleco at the same store too

i can get unusual plecos outside of the run of the mill royal,clowns,chocolate,bushnose,but the selection and price are not good,ok if your local but after shipping it's to high.cichlid-man have you tried www.cichlidexchange.com last time i checked they had quite a few cool plecs that i wanted,especialy the l-114 sunshine pleco.

well, i have 2 12inch plecos, nothing unusal, but you can have them quite cheap.
