Got off my lazy behind and did a 50-75% water change today in my 55gal peacock tank.
Scrubbed algae, and finally got close to 75% of the water out. The temp in the tank before was sitting just around 79is to 81ish. I fill the tank back up with water that is closer to 70 or a little below and not 10 minute after i see one of my male peacocks going CRAZY. Dancing, shaking, vibrating....all over the place. He really was spazzing out. He's been showing to the female for days...but this had to be the one that threw the female over the side.
She accepted his dances and joined him in courtship on the right side of the tank in the sandy open area (Which i made specifically for breeding).
She now has a mouthful of eggs. I don't expect much out of the first spawn, he is still going crazy and badgering her....so she might eat them.
Snapped some pics, but these are just to show you in general...not pictures i'd normally share. Quality sucks IMO.
Oh and she has more in her mouth now then when the pictures were taken so it looks a lot fuller now.
