I have a 100 gallon tank and I do a 10% change once a week now is once a week at 10% beneficial or damaging rather than going two weeks for a change. All fish are doing fine and it's not to it's max fish stock count. Any suggestions is appreciated.

Thanks
Matt

Beneficial....
you are diluting the pollutants more often- not letting them reach such a high level, and a smaller water change will have a smaller impat on water chemistry- hence stress the fish less. 10% a week is a very good routine to stick to.
Only time you may want to alter that is after medicating the tank (if you are unfortuante enough to have to do the whole tank)....
Good Luck !

You culd even go a little more than that if you wish.... I do a 20% weekly and it works out great.
You should get a Python no spill kit, if you don't already have one, it makes changing water on bigger tanks sooo much easier.
Takes me about 5-10 minutes to do a water change on my 55 gallon tank, instead of a 1/2 hour with a bucket lol!

It doesn't take me that long maybe 10 minutes to change 10 gallons. I use just one of Walmart's cylinders that vacuums the gravel seems to work ok but your the second person who has recommended that python I'll look into it thanks

It's a long, clear hose with a green adaptor to connect to your sink and a vacuum on the other end. Basically, a glorified garden hose (which is how my boyfriend describes my Christmas present, when asked). You should be able to find one in one of the big stores, at the very least, like Big Al's.
