the ten gallon tank i do 25 % change every week as it builds up fast in there for some reason.

I would do a change if there was any sign of NO3, but with my fuge there is never any to worry about

In a good running system water changes aren't needed as much but the downside is having to moniter the levels of calcium, iodine, trace elements blah blah. I dose the needed elements with the water evap topoff...

undetectable in both tanks

In a well designed system nitrates will not be an issue, though that is no reason not to w/c's

Specify in gallons 2g per day for 2 weeks straight (I have limited resources in the office)
