Water Change with Fry

I just did my first water change.  What's the best thing to do with the fry when changing the water?  I lost 8 during the process! [glow=color,strength,width] :-[ [/glow] I was going to only do a 50% tank change, but the water was so disgusting that I did about a 90% change.  I'm using a gravel cleaner.

try covering the end of the gravel cleaner with fine mesh if you aren't picking big things up. or you could chase the fry away and block them from the area with a tank divider.
