Water Clear and Potassium Permanganate

Is it safe to use a water clear with potassium permanganate as the active ingrediant in a tank with invertibrates, more specifically ghost shrimp?

My bottle of potassium permanganate says it may be toxic to invertebrates, so I would conclude that it's not a good idea to use it in your tank with shrimp.

Then is there any "inveribrate safe" water clear that I can use?

I would worry about getting to the root of why your water is cloudy. It seems your tank is overstocked, if those are the fish in it in your signature, which could be causing the cloudiness. Is the cloudiness milky white or a greenish color?

I agree with Lotus...that its important to find out whats causing the cloudy before you try throwing a bunch of products at it to make it better.

I dont recall if I've used it with ghost shrimp before, but if you decide you need to use a product to help out you might check out a product called P-Clear I believe Hagen makes it. I've used it a couple of times and it seems to work pretty well without any nasty side effects. Again, I dont remember if there were any inverts in there at the time, think there was probably an apple snail...and maybe shrimp, but not 100% positive.
