Water Flow Help

Does anyone have any suggestions for decreasing water flow in a 12 gallon Current Aquapod? I have some tetras and a Beta and the water flow is so strong they blow all over the tank if they aren't hanging out in the back behind the plants.

put a sponge/foam pre-filter on the intake and pack the filter fill of media. if the filter is new, you have to keep in mind that flow will decrease over time.
