Ok water movement in a 10 gl I have a 10 gl whisper filter and a 30-60 whisper filter which 1 should I use in a nano tank? Should I tank the motor out of the 30-60 and put in the 10 filter? it fits lol

I dont see any reason to switch the motor (maybe you just want the smaller filter on the back, but im not sure). I think that might just cause problems. Id suggest useing the the 10 and a additional powerhead inside the tank. Although if you wanted you could use the 30-60 with a powerhead if you wanted. Yet as I said before I would use one of the filters plus a powerhead, but thats just me.

what you want in terms of water flow is 10x the tank volume turned over every hour minimum...so 100gph...i don't know what the flow rating is on those whispers but i would imagine the bigger one is going to be much closer to that level

When you refer to water flow are you talking about current or how many gph you filtering? If you're concerned about how much current is good then that is going to depend on what type of fish you have.

in the SW world its not so much how much is being filtered (because generally speaking we don't filter our water mechnically) but simply how much is being turned over through some form of pump. a minimum is 10x the tank per hour...it seems high when compared to FW but it is very important for maintaining gas exchange, reducing algae growth, and simulating the natural environment of sea dwelling critters
