We have a 1.5 gallon tank with a betta fish and a snail in it. It does have a filter and heater as well. It also has one artificial ornament and a live aquarium plant. We test our water with Quick Dip test strips.
1. Our tank water is too soft. We have tried both distilled and tap (city) water.
2. Our pH/alkalinity is too low, any suggestions regarding this?
3. Our ammonia level is always a bit high. We change the water frequently (sometimes daily).
We are trying to figure out the most natural way to fix these problems, we feel like we've bought and tried every drop in existence for this.
