water tests

should i test my 10 and 20 gallon tanks and do you test your tanks?

I don't test. Fish and plants are my test kits. While newbies probably should (test) until they grasp solidly the foundations and dynamics of aquatic ecosystems, I would note that they do not place too much faith in test kits. They are notoriously inaccurate, but usually fulfill their duty in tank cycliing efforts.

lol... YES you should test you're water... you'll lose allot of fish if you dont! TRUST ME I'M NEW AT THIS and have already lost 5 fish :( but i'm testing and changing my water as much as I need to till the cycle gets up and running (still testing 0 on nitrite...grr) I wish i could find some bio-spira!! Anyway, if you dont test, you'll find out why you should the hard way.

I've called 6 pet stores before I found one that had it... I live about an hour away from downtown houston, so I have to go there this weekend to get it (yay! even though i hate houston, too much traffic, makes me nervous)
