I just picked-up another betta - Rigel, and a brand new 3gal acrylic tank kit for him, for less than $15.00 US.
Rigel is a big (bigger than I expected compared to Finchy), metallic blue betta with red undertones and a black head. I tried to pick him based on his color and activity level, but I am a little concerned that his size might indicate he is a little older.
Regardless, I am happy to have him in the family. He is a little weak on the swimming end (cup vs 3 gal tank), but has a good appetite and seems to be adjusting fine.
