(Weird) Can fish get hemorrhoids??

I know its strange, but its a legit question. Whenever Meaty dumps a load, some red looking "veins" come out of his anus. They are usually there in the day, just very small and hard to see. But only when hes doing the deed do they really come out to say hello. So whats goin on?
I can post pics if needed, but I doubt they will be pics of them actually out to their full extent.

I haven't looked it up but sure I recall somewhere hearing about this condition to be some sort of worms infestation!

I don't know enough about it so apologies if I have got it wrong but I would definitely google it and see if not just to lay your mind at rest!

Sounds like internal parasites to me.

I'd post about this over on the O-fish forum in the "Oscar Advice" section and, if you're able to get a half-decent one of the red 'vein-like' things in question, by all means include a pic or two.

I swear to god if its internal parasites Im going to flip! (thats what took all my previous oscars)
Meaty has had them since he was a baby though
