weird habits?!

hmm... i was just wondering... why do fish do that weird thing where they line up at the bottom of the tank, and then swim to the top, and then down again in a straight line? mine seem to find great joy in this, and sometimes they all line up, like its a race or something... i think maybe i just have weird fish? or is this some psychotic disease? arg..lol

my cories used to do that all the time for the first feew weeks i had them. what kind of fish do you have?

I've got 6 tiger barbs, 3 black ruby barbs, 2 blue platys, and a pineapple sword fish that do it. The red-tailed shark doesn't seem to find it so enjoyable...

That sounds really neat. No you don't have pshycotic fish. ;D Mine do weird thigs too. My corys sit in my current of my filter and just spin. It's so hilarious. ;D

hehehe...mine swim up and down too, and they would also ride the air bubble coming out of the air pump!!  ;D

Kristin, your Cories do that because they are swallowing air. Cories can make use of atmospheric air and you will periodically see them make a mad dash to the surface for a quick gulp.
