Weird Ich and Fungus

#1
Ok, this is quite odd. They say ich is started when fish is overly stressed and become weak and prone to attack (is prone used corectly?) Well anyways, my Green Swordtail got it, but a little so I'm guessing its starting. Then it disappears. Now it's reappeared, just odd, im going to treat it though, just thought you'd like to know.

Now my guppy has fungus on her face, just a little, but enough to worry me, would some (smelly) med. like Melafix do the trick? not too trustable, but its all i got. gotta know so i can go buy the med (and cherry barbs :))

I have had fungus in the early stages go away when I used Melafix. It's worth a try. I have also had good results with the Jungle Fungus Clear fizzy tabs on various fungal/bacterial things.

I have also had ich in a tank, where I saw one or two spots on a fish, then it went away again. Some people say it's always in the water, some say that once you treat the tank it's gone forever (unless you introduce a new fish/critter/plant). From what it says on the bottle, Melafix won't help with ich.

lol, thats why i always have my own bottle of ich, always prepared. well, normally its true, it wont happen unless theres a new fish (the Green Swordtail). I haven't had ich in that tank for about a year or more, even though i added the occasional fish. Quite odd...

Then i shall try Melafix, hope it doesn't kill my yellow guppy, then i'd be done to 1 female, 1 adult male, and a school of maturing boys.. :(
