Weird platy behavior

I've checked all the common illnesses, and this doesn't seem to be any of them. My red wagtail platy has been acting really weird for about 3 weeks. Another platy had parisites and they were in the hospital tank together, but none of the symptoms are the same. The platy is lying on the bottom of the tank, barely moving his fins. If something goes close to the tank, he darts to the surface and gulps at the surface before going back down. Before I moved him, he would just sit at the surface an wiggle back and forth without going anywhere.

Water:
Temp 85F
Amonia 0ppm
Nitrate 20ppm
Nitrite 0ppm
Hardness 300
KH bewteen 180-300 (stupid cheap test strips)
PH about 8
chlorine 0

I've added salt, and there may be some parisite medicine left over from the other fish. I did a 50% water change Saturday.

Please help!

Huh, this sounds exactly like what two of my gouramis have been doing for about two weeks. They had ich too, then turned into zombies. I don't even know how they're still alive, or even breathing, because they never move. I wish I could help, but I'm still looking for an answer as well. :/

Edit: I have given up on mine, and if they are still alive by the time I have some free time on Wednesday, they're going to be euthanized with clove oil. I wouldn't count on your platy living. :(
