Weird way for angels to breed?

2 of my half-blacks paired and layed there first batch of eggs but insted of the normal way of angels to lay eggs, there laying them as if they were like GBR's or keyhole cichlids. Is this normal??

Umm? Want to explain further with more details. As far as i've seen in my own tanks all of those fish breed exactly the same. Females lays on flat surface, male comes behind her and fertilizes, repeat, repeat, etc..done start fanning eggs.

I don't understand.

Ok, you know how angels breed on vertical objects??? Mine were breeding on a horizontal object. Does that help?

They just find flat surfaces. Vertical or horizontal...no worries.

I had some angels that layed their Eggs on a Slanted surface. I dont know if that help or hinders.

ive heard ov angels laying on flat slate and vertical objects but never slanted. im sure its possible though. as long as theyere carefull.

Ya, it is normal. They just find a clean flat surface and lay their eggs. I've seen them lay eggs on a plant leave that was vertical. No worries.
