Ok, nothing major here, just some odd looking fish. My water is fine (ammonia: 0 nitrite: 0 nitrate: just below 10). My pH is high, but it always has been and I haven't added new fish since Januaryish. But, my angel has this weird, greenish/whitish tuft looking thing on her lower fin, (sorry I can't ever remember proper names). Last night it looked like there were about 3 spots, today 2 of them are gone. So, I suppose it's possible that she's just accumulating food scraps and then they're falling off, but it still looks weird. Here's a pic. It's the three fluffy dot looking things on the fin that comes down the lowest. Ideas?
Also, one of my cardinal tetras has what looks like a fat gill. Like the gill is sticking out a little farther than it should. Here's the pic of that one.
Finally, my GBR has had a concave belly for a while. Thinking it was probably an internal parasite, I did a round of Metronidazole, 3 doses, each a day apart in brine shrimp. Also, I switched to Ultracolor pellets, which are supposed to have a higher protein content, hoping that he could put weight back on. But, I haven't seen any change. Here he is.
So, I'm hoping that there's nothing going on and that the angel just has some weirdness, and that the cardinal will get better and the GBR just needs to put the weight back on. But, I just wanted to see if anyone had any input on anything in case I need to change something or medicate. Everyone is acting normal, the ram is eating, and no one seems bothered, so mostly just checking in. Thanks.
