I've decided to start getting my new 125g up and running and cleaned, as long as the nice weather holds out, plan is to put the tank int he yard and spray it out very well(this tank was used for salt water before i got it) so once its cleand out im going to put it back in the garage where it's been for the past week and then im giong to clean the stand up and all of the hardware, i need to figure out how to clean that pump up and all the pvc pipe , i was going to jsut use a combo of water and vinegar to clean everything up once cleaned i'm planning on filling it up and letting it run for a few days to make sure everything works well, and no leaks going and mostly to get that salt water rinsed off, think this is a good plan ?
also the back of it is pained a light blue, im goign to scrape it off carefully anythingi can use that's not bad for the fish to help get the paint off easier, also anyone know of any good places to sell backgrounds or maybe ill just paint it black ?
I want to thank everyone for all there help !!
this is the best fish forum on the net, and belive me when i started this hobby or obsession as my girlfriend calls it. I looked everywhere for info and I always come back here !

The hardware consists of a wet dry system, with 2 inline pumps i think one is called little giant and compared to the ones i seen on ebay this week it looks like it's on the older side and needs oil from time to time i think ?
anyhoo so have 2 motors and a lotta pvc pipe routed on the bottom up to to over flows and then 2 returns in the middle of the tank, i have a protien skimmer and a uv light inline on the pvc as well, do i need all of this ? or can i just make a new pvc pipe connection directly to the tank ?
this had some major flow going thru it im sure considering it was use for salt

Is this for a freshwater tank?  You won't need the skimmer then and the UV might be useful if you have a massive algae outbreak or ich.

YOu should consider using flexible pvc instead.  It's pretty easy to work with and you don't need to buy T's, elbows, etc.

You can get it at a pool place, home depot, or buy online.

yes this is going to be fresh
ive decided im giong to take my jacob friberg peacocks ?
out of the 55 that has mbuna in it and put them and possibly some frontosa's in it with the peacocks, good idea ?
and the pvc pipes are already connected and everything
i probalby just need to disconnect the other pump and use only one and then like u said disconnect the skimmer and use the UV
are u suggesting since it was used for salt to put brand new pvc or that other stuff u s uggested ?
