What ailment does my guppies have now!!!

So I've got a female adult guppy in a tank with a bunch of other females and some 1-2 week old fry...

She was floating around the filter with what looks like a huge bruise on the front left side of her body, from her eyes, all the way to her mid body.... she looks a little "tattered" maybe with a bit of white dots on her front fins....

Not sure what else I can say to describe how different she looks today....

Man I wish I had bought a hospital tank! I'm worried about contaminating my tank!

Because the fish stores are closed now, I treated the tank she was in with an antibiotic.... as if that will help, it would probably be better to put it in now, than later right?

any idea on what this is?

not sure...I know a lot of fry are sensitive to medications. What did you end up doing?

unfortunately rather than risking all the fish, I put the sick one into large glass container with an airstone. The fish is not eating but will swim around, and is still staying mostly on the top. The "bruise" on it is staying on the front right side of the fish, but I can't really see any white spots or fungus or anything.

How close was she to giving birth? Tempt her to eat with some brine shrimp and don't have the airflow so strong she has to work hard.

She wasn't near giving birth... If anything she had just had a batch of fry....

The bruise was from the top of her head, along the right side of her body, half way down (no where near the gravid spot).

She died today.

The other tank mates are doing fine... though because its summer, I can't keep the lights too much because it heats the water even more... so I'm getting a bit of green algae... just a little.... so my pl*co is going to have a sleepover for a day or two

could it be possible that maybe that she had gotten burned by the heater? I'm sorry to hear of your loss.
